What do you hope to learn from this class, and how might this new knowledge apply to your (prospective) major and/or professional life?

In this class I would love to learn about the African American Culture more in depth.The only things I know are from high school history, and that was probably only a few chapters worth of information.I am also am very curious to learn about African Diaspora and I will also be interested in learning about the personal stories of prominent African Americans using History Makers.

    I guess if you were exposed to a few chapters of information about African American history and culture that we should both consider you fortunate indeed! Let's hope I can do a bit more than that with this course. So what do you think of the readings so far?
